Specialist Finishing Services
Surface finishing is a processing that can change the finished part’s surface to specific color, appearance, property. It gives the finished part different properties of resistance to corrosion, hardness, conductivity, etc. that out of the material itself.
Kimens prototype is capable to provide you with quality surface finishing service. We have a manual department and experienced staff for surface finishing especially. And remains a good and reliable relationship with suppliers that can cover special finishing demand.
Anodizing
Prototyping can be anodized and hard anodizing, and black anodize and natural anodize are more common.
It is an electrochemical process that forms a thin layer of metal on the surface of the parts. This technique better increases the thickness of the natural surface to protect the original metals. Aluminum is ideally suited to this technique. Besides, it also has lots of advantages such as adding various colors on the surface, improving corrosion and abrasion resistance.
Coating
A coating process that apply dry powder electrostatically then cured under heat or UV light.
In order to protect the properties of products, we also make full use of coating, which is a process of create thin layers of a covering substance as a barrier. It can be applied on a surface of any object. Coating improves the resistance to water or chemicals.
There are many coating options in the manufacturing sector. While facing to the condition of selection, you may be considered the factors of the thickness and uniformity.
Polished
Grinding the metal part roughly or finely to achieve a smooth and shiny mirror-like surface.
At Kimens, we offer a host of services that aimed to enhance each aspect of machined parts. For a silky smooth finish to any plastics or metals surface, sanding is hard to beat. It is reductive procedure that aims at removing large amounts of materials for making products with a smooth surface.
Sandblasting & Painting
Our team works hard to satisfied customers’ requirements with experienced and skillful power. We provide thoughtful suggestion that could make your idea become reality
Painting is the process of spraying paint or colors to the surface of products as a protective layer. This technique aims to improve products’ appearance and prevent corrosion.
Sand blasting
Sand blasting is a surface preparation technique involving high-velocity abrasive particles to remove contaminants and roughen surfaces.
Notes:
It’s commonly used for cleaning, texturing, or preparing plastics for processes like painting.
Vaccum Plating-Gold
Our vacuum plating and metallizing process involves enhancing part appearance, durability, and functionality by evaporating a metal material under vacuum and then condensing it on the component surfaces. We have the ability to apply aluminum, nickel, stainless steel, and brass coatings on non-metal substrates, such as ABS, PET, HDPE, and PP. Our process involves using three separate layers, a base coat, metal evaporated aluminum, and top coat that are decorative and protective. With our state-of-the-art process controls, we produce consistently uniform layers with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability.
Black Anodised
Black oxide (blackening) surface treatment is one of the surface treatments used on machined parts. It can give good surface characteristics to the machined parts while having little effect on the size of the parts.
The black oxide surface treatment process involves immersing the machined metal parts in an alkaline solution, which converts the iron on the metal surface into a compound called magnetite, which forms a black coating on the metal surface. Metals that can be black oxidized include stainless steel, copper, silver solder, zinc, etc.
